Disposable Suction Tube For Nose

Disposable suction tubes are device used during the surgery to remove blood, tissues and other fluids to improve visibility for the surgeon and reduce the risk of complications in ENT surgery. Suction tube works on the principle of negative pressure.

In disposable suction tube the tip is made of medical grade stainless steel and handle made from various materials like Polyethylene/Polypropylene and polymethyl methacrylate. It is for single use only.

Intended Purpose:

Suction Tubes are designed for Otology, Rhinology, Laryngology and FESS surgery suction or examination procedures. The suction tube has a small bend at the top to handle it firmly; it suctions from the front point and discharges from the bottom.

Clinical Indications:

• Removal of fluids, blood, or secretions from the surgical field during procedures like ear tube surgery, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, or sinus surgery.
• Suctioning mucus, blood, or other debris from the nose, throat, or ears during examinations or diagnostic procedures.
• Clearing the airway of secretions or blood during emergency situations or resuscitation.

Performance Characteristics:

• The suction tubes are designed with a slight curve at the top to allow for easy handling and maneuverability during the procedure.

• The device is for single use only. Do not re-sterilize or re-use.
• Do not re-sterile- if the device is resterilised, it may cause harm or infection to patient due to re-sterilization of the device.
• Do not use if the packaging has been opened or damaged.
• The suction tubes are made from safe and non-toxic materials to prevent any adverse reactions in the patient. They are designed to minimize the risk of injury or trauma to the patient during use.

Contraindications:

• Using a suction tube in an area with active bleeding can worsen bleeding and lead to further complications
• Suctioning can spread infection if not done properly, so it is important to avoid using suction tubes in areas with active infection or inflammation.
• In patients with sensitive or damaged tissues, such as those who have undergone radiation therapy, the use of suction tubes may cause further injury or discomfort.
• Patients who are allergic to any component of the suction tube should not use the device.
